Financial Analyst - Europe

Reporting to the OneStream Program Lead, the individual will be part of the European Finance Team responsible for working with the Local European Countries and Group Reporting on mapping and reporting the monthly financials using a new tool, OneStream.

Scope:

The Analyst project role will ensure that the results of the European operations are mapped and reported to Group via the new reporting tool in a timely manner. This includes backfilling prior month figures, documenting insights, sharing recommendations, compiling SOPs (standard operating procedures) and finally training subject matter experts. This person works closely with the Finance Transformation Director, the country Controllers, Subject Matter Experts and Finance Directors as appropriate.

In total, we are looking to hire 3 Financial Analysts who will be allocated to cover different regions in Europe. Preferentially, these persons will be based in the Netherlands, but we are also open to candidates based in UK, Sweden, Spain and Italy.

It is a temporary contract of initially 6 months, with the possibility to become permanent at the end of the contract.

Start date: 1st August 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Support the harmonization of chart of accounts and utilization within and across the European cluster entities

• Support the harmonization of cost center structure and utilization within and across the European cluster entities

• Collect and analyze historical adjustments made at the end of each month between the ERP source data and eventual consolidation

• Download and upload reports and data from various ERP's and systems primarily, Dynamics and OneStream

• Document the adjustments and steps followed to transpose historical data from one system to another

• Ensure that figures both the historical and new systems reconcile

• Communicate and coordinate between other cluster analysts in order to consolidate fundings and recommendations in an effort to harmonize functional requirements, ways of working

• Prepare SOPs (standard operating procedures) to train existing team members in the effective management of monthly reporting and consolidation in the new tool, OneStream

About you

Qualifications:

• Accountant
• Previous experience in financial consolidation in a multi-currency, multi entity environment
• Proven Proficiency in Excel with a strong bias towards automation, VBA, SQL
• Confident in Microsoft Office applications
• Language proficiency: English is mandatory, other European languages would be beneficial.

Qualities:

• Ability to work under pressure and independently
• Personable, clear communicator as this role will be required to liaise with subject matter experts for information and joint problem solving
• Affinity working with newly implemented systems, requirements testing and validations
• Attention to detail
